Highest Power Consuming Devices

Highest Power Consuming Devices
Friday, March 30, 2018

The average New Zealand energy bill per year is $2,221.5 per year and a large chunk of the power used is wasted. Where does this waste come from and which electronic appliances consumer the most energy?

A clever infographic from Connect4Climate shows the breakdown in the energy use of a typical home. It includes the average cost/year of different devices with the ones consuming the most energy.

What does it leave us with? Wasting your energy on vampire electronics both costs you money and doesn't do any good. The best way to reduce wasted power and money is to shut down the appliances even when they are turned off because they still consume energy. We've shared more info on vampire power earlier.

Try using only the power you need, and cut down the wasted energy. You will be surprised by how much it reduces your monthly and annual power bills.
